Tools and Techniques for Writers

The Great Lakes Chapter of the American Christian Fiction Writers will offer a series of mini-workshops in various locations over the next year. Our focus for these workshops will be on Tools and Techniques for Writers. The first workshop will be held on April 21, 2012 in Jackson, Michigan. Joy Melville will give a workshop on The How Tos Of Critiquing, complete with handouts and practice exercises.

Peggy Bennitt will host this workshop at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 3637 Spring Arbor Road in Jackson, Michigan 49201 (same place as the November Conference). The Workshop will be held in the church library, at 11 a.m. The library is on the first floor of the church. Discussion will follow and lunch will be provided after the workshop.

Our Board members plan to host several more workshops in the coming months so that all our members can have the opportunity to meet with other members close to their own geographical areas, and develop a more effective network for learning. There is no charge for this workshop, so it's a pretty sweet deal for those who want ongoing education in types and use of various writing tools.
Check back each week for further updates on Chapter news and more upcoming workshops.
