2013 Great Lakes Chapter's Meeting/ Speakers - Save the Dates!

The ACFW Great Lakes Chapter Board is excited to share the lineup of meetings/speakers for this year - focusing primarily on getting you folks ready for the ACFW Conference in Indianapolis! Since our fair state is so close to the conference location this year, we're hoping to have see many GLCers there - and we want you prepared! Hope you can take advantage of these opportunities, in different areas of the state.

So, whether or not you're planning on Indianapolis in September, save these dates and plan to be at as many as you can. More details can be found at the "meeting calendar" tab on the GLC website/blog. And watch that tab - and this blog - for further information on these activities and others that may be scheduled!

When: Saturday, June 8, 2013 from 11am to 2pm
Where: 985 Dog Sled Trail, West Branch, MI home of Amanda Barratt
What: Two sessions: Writing Romance to Make Readers Swoon by Amanda Barratt and First Page Critique by Pegg Thomas. Lunch provided.
First page must be sent to Pegg Thomas by June 1 for critique - details here.

When:  Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 1pm to 4pm
Where: Good News Baptist Church - 6380 Eastern Ave SE, Grand Rapids
What: Hands-On Workshop on Putting Together a One-Sheet by Joy Melville

When: Saturday, August 24, 2013 from 10am to 2pm
Where: Faith Lutheran Church - 37636 Dequindre, Troy, MI
What: Practice Your Pitch With Agent Linda Glaz - and preparing a One-Sheet

When: Saturday, October 19, beginning at 10am
Where: Redeemer Lutheran Church - 3637 Spring Arbor Rd. Jackson, MI  
What: Putting Together a Proposal Packet with Agent Linda Glaz 

There is no cost to attend the meetings, though there is a love offering taken. Nonmembers may attend two meetings to "try us out." If they wish to attend after that, they must join the Great Lakes Chapter (and ACFW, if they aren't members).
