August Meeting in Troy - with Pitch Practice!

With ACFW's conference in Indianapolis just around the corner, it's time to start getting ready for those oh-so-important editor and agent appointments. So you work on your pitch. And work. And work. But how do you know if it's any good?

What if you could do a practice run - on an actual literary agent? Well, thanks to Hartline Literary agent and ACFW/GLC member Linda Glaz, you can! The Great Lakes Chapter of ACFW is having a meeting which will feature an opportunity to practice your novel pitches on Hartline Agent Linda Glaz, who will listen and give you the kind of feedback that can help you relax - and shine - when it comes time for "the real thing" in Indy. Linda will also be talking about one-sheets, which are another selling point for your manuscript.

The meeting will be held Saturday, August 24 from 10am to 1pm at Faith Lutheran Church, 37635 Dequindre, in Troy, MI (Mapquest directions - http://www.mapquest.com/?q2=6306539+type:mqid).  Snacks will be provided. The meeting is free, though a freewill offering will be taken up for the speaker. Please RSVP to Karlene (anna_karls_j@yahoo.com) once you know you're coming. Hope you can make it!
