Updates: What's happening in the Great Lakes Chapter?

ACFW-GLC needs meeting hosts for 2016! If you'd like to have a meeting near you, contact Karin Beery ASAP Hosting a meeting lets you give back to ACFW (and you get to attend that meeting for free). It's a great way to give and receive a blessing!
2016 Writers Retreat confirmed! Mark your calendars for May 6-8, 2016 at Treetops Resort in Gaylord. Reservation forms and more details to come!
Karin Beery will present a 4-part course on the Basics of Fiction Writing at the Elk Rapids Library this fall. She's excited - and nervous! - about her first month-long event. Prayers appreciated!
We'd like to start making our blog a more active place, so we're inviting our members to contribute writing-related posts each month! 500-750 words each, and we'll make sure to include your picture (if you send it) and links to your website. Please contact Karin at if you're interested!
Just a reminder - we all have exciting things happening and strong opinions to share, but please remember that our Facebook group is available to help us live up to and fulfill ACFW's mission: to advance Christian fiction by inspiring writers to join with God in the creative process, training them in the craft, and educating them in the publishing industry. Thanks!
If you have any announcements pertaining to writing, please let me know so that I can include it in the newsletter. Email me at
