Contracts, Workshops, Retreats, and More! March 2016 Newsletter

It's finally spring...ish!

If the weather reports are to be believed, it's warming up around the state and most of the snow should be gone (except for some of our northern members). As the weather warms up, our calendar fills up too - here's what's coming up:

Get It Right - Research for Historical Fiction: Thursday, April 7 at 7 Great Lakes Members can click here to sign up and pay (non-members, click here), and you'll get an email invitation to join us online for an hour with award-winning historical novelist Jocelyn Green. (If you're not available at that day/time, sign-up anyway and we'll send you a recording of the event.)

3rd Annual Writer's Retreat: May 6-8 at Treetops Resort in Gaylord. For as little at $164 (based on double occupancy) you can get away for the weekend and worry about nothing but your manuscript! Lodging and meals included. To reserve your room, call Treetops Resort at 855-261-8764 (option 3) and reference our group name or number (109018)..

Stanley Williams presents The Moral Premise: Saturday, June 4, 10 a.m.–3 p.m. at the Doherty Hotel in Clare. This is an amazing opportunity to learn from one of the industry's best teachers. A Michigan native, this is Williams' first Michigan event  in years - don't wait to reserve your space! Contact one of our board members today to get on the list. Cost is $40 for GLC members and $60 for non-members (includes lunch).
In member news...

Pegg Thomas just signed a contract with Barbour!

Dawn Crandall was interviewed on her local radio station and got to share about her series, The Everstone Chronicles. (You can listen here.)
What's up with you?

We want to know how you're doing and what you're up to these days. Send us your news (or blog posts - we're happy to share writing-related posts on our blog), and we'll help you share with the chapter and others!

May you have lots of sunshine this spring!

Write on,
